LIST: Once PBB Teens

Pinoy Big Brother is one reality TVshow where some of the brightest stars come from. Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Robi Domingo, Ejay Falcon, Ryan Bang, James Reid and the likes - are from PBB teens alone. This is despite not being a talent show. The names above are easy because being big winners/Big four followed that they get big breaks.

There are those who continued being visible but no longer tagged as housemates. Some of you might already forgot that they were once PBB Teens.
1. Yen Santos
2. Shey Bustamante
3. Andi Eigenmen
4. Valerie Weigmann
5. Jovic Susim

This is the batch where Yen and Shey belong

1. Yen Santos -PBB Teen Clash

It's easy that you may not remember Yen because people were so into Tricia (positively or negatively)- the other Santos, for you to take notice her.

Yen now plays lead (or support depending how you see it) in Philippine TV series version of Pure Love. This is her biggest break so far and a supposed comeback from a long time she was not visible since Growing up folded up. The growing popularity is basically in its own merit and no longer attributed to PBB.

2. Shey Bustamante -PBB Teen Clash

If the name has no recall, imagine Mikay's co worker in hotdog stand in the Princess and I. Many might remember her face along with Kathryn Bernardo. This former Bb. Pilipinas official candidate continue to be visible in supporting role in Pure Love as cafe waitress with batchmate  Yen Santos.

3. Andi Eigenmenn - PBB Teen Edition Plus

Andi was not a regular Housemate. She was a House guest for weeks before she was launched big time as Teleserye frontliner in Agua Bendita, Minsan lang kita Iibigin and Galema. Most of you might not remember this.

4. Valerie Weigmann - PBB Teen Edition Plus

The speculation was that Val was handpicked from the barangay and instantly became co host in Subog Bahay in Eat Bulaga. This was Valerie's biggest break where people really recognized her.

Many might remember Ejay Falcon being torpe to a German Housemate. Years later people were not able to associate that the statuesque charming lady who shared comedic timing with Jose Manalo and Paolo Ballesteros was the love interest of Ejay Falcon inside the house.

Val is now in the thick of preparation to Miss World Philippines pageant which explains her absence in the noon time show.

5. Jovic Susim PBB Teen Clash

I thought of Jovic Susim because I recently watched "Ang Huling Henya" where he was Rufa Mae Quinto's love interest. When I googled his name, I learned that he's part of "Halik ng Taramtula"with Bb. Gandang Hari.

The complete list of Kim Chiu's OMG titles under her belt.

Celebrity of the Year - Kim Chiu

Actress of the Year - Kim Chiu

Fan Club of the Year – KimXi

Teleserye of the Year – “Ikaw Lamang”

Movie of the Year – “Bride for Rent”

She took away with twin victory of Celebrity/Actress of the Year that Marian Rivera and Angel Locsin failed to achieve last year. The rivals split the title respectively. Both superstars failed to earn any award this year. The rumored Angel Locsin-call center-trending group must have slept too long that they missed their quota. Marian Rivera's legion of fans must have rested after FHM victory party.

Good job KIM.

She must have done good, that she got the support of the yahoo nation.

LIST: Top Actresses in Popular Foreign Characters

Top actresses took popular roles in foreign TV series. This is not to say that Philippine TV has run out out good roles, local actresses' versions of foreign well-loved characters is likely a challenge to them. Here's run

down on Filipina actresses who took the challenge.

1. Angelica Panganiban as Rubi. This is one of her Televsion Milestones. She did numerous teleseryes but when you ask any person about her projects, this is definitely at the top of their minds. She did lead and kontrabida roles -in Rubi, she the bidang nontrabida.

2. Bea Alonso as Betty La Fea.You surely opted to see Bea at her best - the Queen or Princess Drama Serye - along side with his King John Lloyd. This famous comedy character is one best breather. It very seldom to see her doing comedy project.

3. Heart Evangelista as Jessie of Full House. Playing Jessie in Pinoy adaptation of Full could have been one great challenge. The Korean star in the original series is just adorable that Heart may have had a hard time exuding the aura. Heart was not-so-young at that time. Still, she and Richard Gutierrez pulled it off. She starred in numerous teleseryes and this one is hard to miss.

4. Angel Locsin as Jillian. Sophomore jinx may or not have been true to Angel in Only You. Despite reports in high rating, the Teleserye had its limited run because of franchise agreements. Such short run was not enough to create buzz for Angel's popularity. With this project, Angel sort of went back to her kilig princess days in GMA before she took on action and heavy drama role.

5. Anne Curtis as Angela of Green Rose. If you're Anne's fan, this is is not your most favorite role for her. Green Rose is very dark and you're at happiest seeing her character in Maging Sino Ka Man part 1 and 2. The best of it, she was able to do a character of foreign remake - and made it to this list.

6. Kim Chiu as Jasmin of My Girl. She fits the role to a tee that you forgot she's not the original. She then had her own My Binondo Girl but Kim fans consider this as one of her most-loved characters.

7. Regine Velasquez as Kim Samsoon. The songbird was buzzed to have expressed her intent to play the role of betty la fea on the other network. Good thing, her network found equally appropriate role for her, Kim Samsoon. She was well loved in her Romantic Comedy films, this is her answer in TV after appearing in drama projects.

7. Marian Rivera as Chantal, Jenny and Marimar. She surely starred in millions of teleserye, so should be awarded as Valedictorian in playing the most number of characters in foreign remakes. Marimar is a given, that character made "Marian Rivera". Chantal of Temptation of Wife  character boasts of her maturity as an actress, as they say. Jenny of Endless Love is one of the most kilig DongYan project.

There are stars who did not make it to the list because of the "top actresses" category.

Princess no more, Queen Chui

With the recent success of her projects - Bride for Rent and Bakit hindi ka Crush ng Crush mo, isn't it fitting to give Kim Chui's status a notch higher. A "queen" title perhaps instead of princess.

ABS-CBN has given several female stars superstardom status, all at the same time - Bea Alonzo, Anne Curtis, Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban and Sarah Geronimo. On another set of stars, there's Julia Montes, Katryn Bernardo. As opposed to the rival network which singles out Marian Rivera as the queen and all others at a lower tier such as Heart Evangelista and Lovi Poe.

Kim has gone a long way from the reality TV's PBB house, which is not a talent search. She started with an irritable acting which can now be considered passable. She does drama in teleseryes and comedy in films. Though comparable to Maricel Soriano, her career is distinct.
